I worked for almost 20 years in IT (Information Technology) for a health insurance company before they downsized and I was laid off.  This was a blessing to me!  It has given me more time to spend with my family and has allowed me to pursue my passion, photography!

I can not call myself a professional photographer as I did not attend school to obtain this title/degree. However, I was lucky enough to have a photographer friend "take me under her wing" and teach me what I need to know. And I continue to learn more every day.

 

I have also discovered my passion for creating photo books.  I started off creating them for myself; photo books of my kids, vacations, etc.  After my first senior photo shoot, I decided to create an album of all of the pictures for the family to have memories for years to come. I then had friends approach me and ask me to create photo books for them! SOME wedding photographers do NOT offer photo albums as part of their services; they edit the pictures and then give the bride and groom all of the photos on a flash drive or some other device. Not everyone enjoys building photo books, so a lot of times, these pictures sit unseen for years! Think of the photos you have on your phone, computer, shutterfly account, etc. Will you lose everything if your computer or phone dies? Do you want to have these photos in print, to show to family, friends, grandchildren? I will do that for you!
